Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1978 in Bologna (Italy). In 1982 he specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics. He carried out his clinical and research practice in Bologna, at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, Ljubiana (ex Yugoslavia), Los Angeles, and Paris. He was a confirmed researcher at the University of Bologna and is currently Associate Professor Adjunct at Yale University (USA). Founder and President of Help Me Doctor S.R.L. international company for issuing 1st and 2nd medical opinions. Author of two experimental research models: the extra-corporeal perfusion of human uteri (with the first embryonic implantation outside the woman) and the first uterine passage of hormones released vaginally. He deeply investigated the electromechanical effects of ovarian steroids on the nonpregnant uterus and the endometrial ablation in reducing the recurrence of endometriosis. Publisher of over 12 books, author of over 300 peer-reviewed articles from over 130 book chapters. His current research is mainly focused on embryo implantation, reproductive medicine, and pelvic endometriosis. She recently started a research program on the artificial womb. An expert in special pelvic surgery, he carries out operative laparoscopic interventions and has directed an Assisted Reproduction program (1000 cycles/year) in a public center. He has performed over 12,000 gynecological operations, mainly laparoscopically. Former director of A Unit of Reproductive Surgery at the Santorsola General Hospital, Director of the Obstetrics; gynecology and Physiopathology of Reproduction Unit at The Rimini General Hospital, and later Director of Reproductive Physiopathology Unit of the ASL of Rimini in cooperation with the University of Bologna, located in the Cervesi Hospital in Cattolica (Italy). Former Associate Professor Adjunct at New York University (CUNY). Past President of the Italian Society of Fertility Sterility and Reproductive Medicine (SIFES MR). Recognized as best university researcher by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Bologna in 2000. Today is an Associate Professor Adjunct in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Yale University ( New Haven, Ct, USA) and Founder of Help Me Doctor S.R.L. international company for 1st and 2nd medical opinions.
